ReJot was founded with a mission to make managing operational data at scale seamless. If the data model is not taken care of, maintainability will suffer. Without a focus on maintainability, product evolution becomes a pain, and innovation slows down. ReJot's goal is to empower engineers to take care of their data model quality and maintainability, and in turn, help them create better software for their end-users.

ReJot's founders saw these problems firsthand while working at Adyen, a large financial technology firm. As the paradigm of "local-first software" took off, we connected the dots and started working on a synchronization engine that is not only useful for creating fast frontends but also for synchronizing data between teams within a large organization.

A passion for building quality software led us to figure out what "quality software" actually means. It all starts with the codebase itself. If a codebase is not maintainable, the developer experience is the first to degrade, with the end-user experience not far behind. We see that user experience and software maintainability are interconnected. By giving developers the tools to create quality software, the end-user experience will naturally improve. The maintainability of a codebase is well-studied, but how the data model fits into that, sadly, is not. This is the problem ReJot is solving.
